4 Fitness Exercises To Get You Ready For Summer

Fitness

It is never, I repeat, NEVER too late to start working on your fitness. Spring is not over yet but we are already hitting the gym before summer arrives. Working on your health includes having a good diet, your fitness routine, and improving your mental and emotional health. Of these, physical health can be tricky because not every exercise fits all. No matter where you are in your fitness journey, it’s okay to start incorporating better routines now. So if you want to get a head start on achieving your ideal summer bod, consider trying out these exercises we think will help you prep:

1.) Core-Strength Training

Abs are always a big target when it comes to getting a summer body. With core strength training, not only will your abs look good but your back and pelvic muscles will be in top form. Some exercises you can do are ab crunches, planking (you can modify it so you can be on your knees), single and double leg presses.

2.) Morning Yoga Poses

Yoga is a wonderful exercise. Similar to meditation, Yoga makes you feel grounded and present. If waking up in the morning is tough for you, try to include yoga poses to help you feel more energized as you stretch your way to a healthier body for the summer season. These poses range from easy to difficult but, if you are a beginner, try downward facing dog, warrior poses, bridge pose, and backbend. Oh! And don’t forget to add the child pose to rest after a long yoga sesh.

3.) Zumba

If you aren’t looking for a rigorous workout routine, Zumba is really all you need! Just dance to the rhythm of the music as you work on your core, legs, arms, and booty!

4.) Interval Training

You don’t have to workout for long periods of time to burn off calories. Consider doing short cardio workouts by running on the treadmill or going on a bike run. Start off by doing a short warm-up and when you are ready, work out for at least 3-5 minutes. Be sure to take some time slow down. After that, start your active workout again. If you dread going to the gym because you think you have to sweat for hours just to get the body you want, interval training will save you.

Also, remember to check with your doctor before trying any of these if you have any physical ailment.
