There are so many aspects to manage when it comes to everyday life, it’s easy to get overwhelmed. With many of us juggling careers, families, passion projects, and side hustles, it’s not uncommon to feel like it’s all just too much. Sometimes you just need to slow down and refocus. For some that means talking it out with a good friend and for others it might mean a quick mediation session to get your mind right. Even though technology can be the source of some overwhelm (anyone else guilty of having their email connected to their phone?) but it can also be the source of relief if you know where to look. Here are 5 wellness apps to help you refocus and reset during those hectic times.

1.) Headspace

Not every situation calls for talking it out, sometimes the remedy to your frazzled mind is just some quiet time to yourself. This is where the Headspace App comes in. You can find this app in the App Store, and don’t worry, it’s free.

Open this app instead of hitting the snooze button and watch your mindset shift as you approach your day.

3.) Talkspace

If you are in the market to talk to someone, but don’t have the time to book a session with your local therapist, Talkspace is the service for you. Talkspace will connect you with a certified therapist that you can text or audio/video message any time of the day for a small fee. Here you can get all of your questions answered, and feel like you have someone on your side every step of the way. This is a great alternative to therapy because it gives you instant feedback, and is significantly more affordable than an office visit.

5.) 7 Cups of Tea

This website is very similar to Talkspace, but is more for a person who wants a conversation instead of an ongoing thing. You can log on any time of the day and be connected to a trained individual who fits your needs. They even have support groups where you can talk about similar issues like grief, bereavement, eating disorders, and many other topics. This is a great option for those nights when something is bothering you and you just need to talk to someone.
