Summer Beauty Tips

Summer is officially here which means movies in the park, days at the beach, and tons of fun in the sun! We want you to have the best time possible this summer, without any of the struggles that come with the heat. Here are some tips to keep you worry free and looking your best.

Tip One: Use Deodorant to Prevent Chafing

While you sport your sun dresses this summer, protect your legs! Nothing’s more irritating than looking fabulous in a dress and not being able to walk properly because of your thighs rubbing together. Take some of that deodorant, put it on your thighs and you’ll be good to go.

Tip Two: Try a Protective Style

Summer weather can be great at times, but also unpredictable. Having a protective style can ease you of the stress while make you look amazing in a short amount of time. There are plenty to choose from like weaves, twists, and even crochet braids. If you’re looking for a style that isn’t so long-term, try braiding your hair up for a week and taking it down on the weekend. Not only will it save you time, but you’ll look good doing it.

Tip Three: Use Lavender Oil

During the summer all of the insects come out. If you forget to use a bug repellent, it can be a disaster to deal with the itchiness and the swelling. Try using lavender oil to ease the pain. You’ll feel better and also smell amazing. What more could you ask for?

Tip Four: Stay Hydrated

Water is the major key a lot of us tends to miss. Not only can it rid us of terrible toxins, it can rejuvenate our skin. If you want your skin to be flawless this summer, drink a lot of water. If you’re not a fan of the taste, try adding some fruit, or even some carbonation. A good rule of thumb is that you should never feel thirsty, at that point, your body is desperate for some fluids. Drink up!

Tip Five: Love Yourself

Self-love is important year round, but this time of year can be difficult with every person on display on Instagram. Make sure to take some time out to love yourself. If you don’t like something, change it, and if you can’t, embrace it! No one can do you better than you can.
